RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has issued notices to 35 property owners for illegal construction.
According to the RCB spokesman, several raids were conducted and the illegally constructed buildings’ owners have been issued notices.
Raids were conducted in the city’s Usmania Colony, Farooqabad, Misrial Road, Quaid-e-Azam Colony, Peshawar Road Saddar and Railway Road areas.
The RCB administration is taking action – as per the law – against the illegal constructions, the spokesman said and added that the operation has been accelerated on the instructions of Cantonment Executive Officer Dr Saima Shah.
After solid steps taken for the purpose, the revenue generation has considerably increased as now the citizens are submitting their building plans to get formal approval, he added.
The RCB spokesperson advised the citizens to avoid violating the rules otherwise stern action awaits them as no relaxation would be given to anyone.
